THE VISION:
To extend the Lord's blessings of the working partnership in Rhodell, WV to other coal town communities around the state. (Phil 4:13)
THE GOAL:
To have a working partnership with the people of Rhodell, WV; fueled by the Holy Spirit of God, that results in their spiritual, economic, and educational development.
THE MISSION:
In pursuit of the vision and by the leading of the Holy Spirit we will:
- Share the gospel of Christ in Word & deed
- Minister to the needs of the people, as the Lord supplies
- Labor in prayer for God’s supernatural blessings
CURRENT OBJECTIVES:
1. Obtain an understanding of the community needs through a Community Needs survey
2. Upgrade The Open Door facility to better serve the Rhodell community and the surrounding towns
7/12/12 - Painted the bathroom, replaced fixtures, upgraded the playground
10/15/12 - Installed wall-mounted water fountain with a filter
3. To place and support a healthcare provider who can meet the needs of Rhodell and the surrounding communities
10/15/12 - Opened talks with town officials to reestablish a medical clinic
4. Establish tutoring for children and youth
10/15/12 - Presented a plan for consideration
01/20/13 - Angel graduated (I've asked her to head up the tutoring program)
5. Provided needed support services for the adults
01/21/13 - I've reestablished contact with the Missionary Mountain State Association
