I Seem To Have Overlooked Something!

The mission team sat around the table.  One item up for discussion was going to help Mr. Woodruff fix bicycles to take to Rhodell.  We agreed on June 22.  About the middle of the week we contacted Mr. Woodruff to firm up the date.  Turns out, he had injured his shoulder.  Oh, he was still able to get around and do things; but obviously somewhat limited.  The point?  The Lord knows when to bring people together.  It was a productive Saturday.  We fixed 5 bicycles, washed about 10, and made the corn-hole toss boards.  On top of that, the Lord gave us some cool rain to enjoy while we eat burgers and hot dogs.  Please keep praying because as the day draws closer there will be more to manage - but, we all know who is ultimately in control.  Jesus.  In that there is comfort - Praise Him.

His Ways Are Not Our Ways

First, let me thank those of you who have been staying "tuned in" during this "drought".

Second, Isaiah 55:8, 9 - "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," declares the Lord.  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts."  It was my thought that I would be blogging like crazy from the time we had the kick-off to the time of our departure; I was that excited about this coming year.  Lo and behold it's been quiet the opposite.  Not the absence of activity but rather more life than there is time to handle it.

Third, I learned this the hard way, and yet this principle is seen in Biblical accounts.  Our heavenly Father sometimes waits for the "buzzer".  In other words, we may want things to happen now, or in advance of a deadline - but He is glorified all the more when we move forward in faith that He will manage the outcome (obedience required).

We recently had a mission team meeting and "the plan" has been hammered out - subject to His approval and to any changes He feels necessary.  We have one more meeting to go which will include a session on sharing the Gospel.  Please pray that we have an effective meeting that would enable us to better glorify God.
