Exciting "Pray for..." Update!!!

A very important part of the journey to creating a tutoring program has been completed - Praise the Lord.

Check out the "Pray for..." tab and scroll down to the 2nd prayer item "Tutoring Program" to see what all the fuss is about.  Much prayer is still needed.

There is also an up date on the 3rd  prayer item.

Thanks for keeping up with how the Lord is moving on this.

It's Started Already

No sooner do I wish y'all Happy New Year and the next thing I know two weeks have gone by!!!
What's started?   One can't have spiritual advances without evil making an effort to put up resistance!
"It" might be able to delay us but..."the gates of hell will not prevail."  We keep God first and give Him all the glory because He is our provider, hallelujah!

Before I get too far let me just encourage you to check out the...

"MISSION: Rhodell 2013" tab for an important announcement!

We look forward to great things from the Lord (for this is His endeavor) and sharing praise to Him for the great things that are done.  Our thanks to all who continue to "check in" and for those who are praying in support of this ministry - may the Lord richly bless you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We certainly hope all went well with your New Year.  With the New Year comes our annual Kick Off for the West Virginia mission trip.  Also with New Year's comes the New Year's resolution; which I don't believe, but I can't argue with the timing of which I came across this portion in the book "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis.

For those not familiar with the story - Screwtape is a demon and is corresponding with his nephew, Wormwood.  The book consists of Screwtapes letters to Wormwood about Wormwoods efforts to influence a human.  In letter 28, Screwtape writes this to Wormwood, "The long, dull monotonous years of middle-aged prosperity or middle-aged adversity are excellent campaigning weather.  You see, it is so hard for these creatures to persevere.  The routine of adversity, the gradual decay of youthful loves and youthful hopes, the quiet despair (hardly felt as pain) of ever overcoming the chronic temptations with which we have again and again defeated them, the drabness which we create in their lives, and the inarticulate resentment with which we teach them to respond to it - all this provides admirable opportunities of wearing out a soul by attrition."

This is what I will resolve myself to do - persevere.  As believers in Jesus Christ we must understand this can only be done through the power of Jesus Christ.  May the Lord bless you all with His spirit of wisdom to enable each of you to persevere in whatever He calls you to do.
