Pray - Hard

While there are many who are experiencing disruption and devastation in their lives as a result of hurricane Sandy, I would ask you pray for those in West Virginia as well.  The news seems focused on New York City and the other coastal areas (understandably so); but, many are buried under the snow and cut off from sources of help.

Program Note

Concerning the account of How Loaves and Fishes Started the Lord has been gently nudging at me.  In the account when I share the vision I had about Jesus feeding the 5,000, I indicated that Jesus fed the people from "leftovers".  I think this is not true and have changed the narration.  What was presented by the boy may have been the families food for the next couple days or the week, I don't know.  I changed the narration to read, "Jesus fed the 5,000 with what seemed an insufficient amount, let's see what the Lord will do with pocket change."  Praise the Lord!

Awsome Again in Rhodell

Greetings,
I thought I was going to be able to post this most recent trip within a day or two.  Life has it's way of "elbowing" in.  Check out the most recent trip the Lord had us take to Rhodell (It's the "Rhodell-2012 Again!" tab).  It was short notice and brought "new" people to our aid.  Also, I hope you are blessed by the link I added - a sermon on encouragement and strength.  Blessings to you.

Encouragement - Strength

Greetings,

I just wanted to share this message.  Under the "Links" on the right is a sermon that will bring a different perspective on the armor of God (it's not just for the individual) and encourage you to press on towards the mark.  I hope the sermon is a blessing.

ubersetzen

This BLOG has gone international! Check out the "Translate" button to the left of the photos.

It happened some time ago and I should have announced this sooner.  Ubersetzen?  That's "translate" in German for our German friends who have visited this BLOG 20 times.  I would have included the Russian word but I don't have those keys on my keyboard (I'll have to see if I can cut and paste the word from somewhere); anyway, pageviews from Russia are just under 50!  Other countries are Poland, Croatia, Philippines, Japan, and Latvia.  Thanks everyone for checking in.

God is SO Awesome!!!

There is a reason the word AWESOME should be soley reserved for use in an effort to describe something the Lord does; because…He…IS!!!

I’ve added this most recent development to the “Pray for…” tab; however, to fully grasp this development I’ll describe the details here.

-> In July of this year when we traveled to Rhodell we brought a wall-mounted water fountain which we didn’t get to install.

->In late August the ball gets rolling about doing a medical mission trip to Rhodell the week of Oct 15.

->In the back of my head I’m thinking, “This is great!  We’ll get to have the water fountain installed.

->Now, where to get a plumber that makes out-of-state calls for missionaries?

NOTE: Prior to leaving for Rhodell this past July, I sought the assistance of two organized agencies for other reason.  Once I put the word out that we needed a plumber the waiting was the hardest part!  The silence was deafening!  I’m sure this had more to do with me than with them (I repent from my anxiousness).

MEANWHILE: Evelyn and I spoke with the other part of our team who has put the personnel together.  We were told that some other people were coming, but what their skills or interests were had not been discussed.

(The pieces should be coming together)  This past Wednesday I get a “We don’t have one of those.” (I paraphrase) from one agency and no response from the other after voicemail and email.  Then…it hits…check that.  Then He hits me; with the thought of calling the other team member back and asking if one of these interested people has plumbing skills.

(DRUMROLL please) YES!  They do!  So please pray.  Pray the Lord will guard us from any effort by the enemy that would hinder us on this mission trip.  Also, pray in preparation for our arrival - that the Lord would prepare our time there.  May the blessing of our Lord be with you.

It's Posted!

Please take time to read the entry in the tab "How Loaves & Fishes Started".  It is a bit lengthy but shouldn't take too long to read.  I do hope it gives you a clear idea of how we see the Lord moving in this work.  It's about giving Him praise; for He is worthy to be praised.

Remember:
"Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me;
O Lord, be my helper.
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
The my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever."
                                                   - Psalm 30:10-12 (NASB)

Also, as Jesus entered the city riding a colt the people joyfully shouted,
"Blessed be the King who comes in the name of the Lord;
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest."
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him (Jesus), "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."
But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!"
                                                   - Luke 19:38-40

It is clear, the Lord desires that we praise Him.
Practice it.  Start small.  Be disciplined. Praise more.
