Greetings,
At the bottom of this BLOG I have posted five objectives for the mission. I know, it's a long way down there. I tried placing the goals in different locations, but that was the only place it fit; besides, there's a "fish tank" down there you may not know about.
A little info on how the objectives & goals are set up:
Objective - Something worked toward or aspired to: goal
Goal - A purpose: objective
As you can see, to some degree these words are interchangeable; but, for our purposes we need to accomplish goals to reach what we aspire to. Make sense?
The numbered items are the objectives. Under each objective are goals to accomplish to enable us to reach the objective.
The {+} and {-} signs indicate a goal has been reached or is yet to be done. My hope is that we will have a sense of purpose; that there are specific tasks to be accomplished for the glory of God.
These objectives and goals can be discussed further when we meet for the mission team meeting on Mar 11 at 6 p.m. at Live Oak. Be in prayer about these and if the Lord speaks to you about something share it in the meeting or post a comment.
Chronicles the progression of mission work being done by the Lord, through His servants.

Bethany's Version
Greetings,
I was recently working on a post for the Live Oak website about our first mission trip. I felt it would be helpful that people know how we got involved with Rhodell. I found the rendition falling somewhat flat so I asked our daughter, Bethany, for her opinion and some ideas to help the events be more, shall we say - 3D. What follows is what she came up with (no - it will not be part of the post on the web site; ya'll get an exclusive).
The van raced around each sharp curve. Perilous dangerous awaited us at every turn!!!! “Hurry!” My father shouted, sending the shaft of a spear out of the shattered van window. It plunged into the belly of a vicious sabercat that had been relentlessly pursuing us through the deep dark woods. I clung to my seat’s arm rest, desperately trying not to fall into the clutches of evil!!!! My brother ducked inside, narrowly missing the swiping talons of a bloodthirsty vulture, seeking a meal fit for his kind. My mother closed a window, just as a mangled wolf leaped at us, his bleeding lips curled back revealing blood stained fangs!!! “Look!” My brother shouted, pointing his bruised finger at the approaching canyon. My father took evasive action, slamming the cold gas pedal to the torn carpeted floor. We raced towards the jagged edge, and flew over the deep abyss. WE HAD MADE IT TO RHODELL!!!!!
NOTE: This all came out of her head, no help from me; in fact she was getting so over the top I had to ask her to stop (because I couldn't stop laughing).
If you like it please make a comment and maybe I can talk her into writing some more about our fantastic adventure.
Until next time - save your pocket change and see what the Lord can do with leftovers.
